I finally got my class M1 license today. So, why not celebrate by sharing some pics!

The Honda was purchased by my dad, brand new in 1970, for $728, and that included two helmets! "Smiles" (the bike's name) has just over 4,100 miles on her.

I bought the T100 a couple weeks ago as a longer range cruiser. Gotta keep the Honda low mileage.

The previous owner did the usual mods...so of course, the bike is nice and loud!

I'm always scouring the net for news and tech-talk about Triumph and Honda stuff. Gotta learn all I can about these timeless bikes.

You have nice set of bikes!
The blue and white Bonnie is sweet.
The Honda ain't too bad either!
Which one are you riding tomorrow?

Both bikes look great. I like that little Honda. I've been looking around for one. Either a CB or CL350.

What camera do you have? The colors come through very nicely.

I don't know, but it looks like the rear on the Triumph might be a little low on air?

Be sure to take it easy for a good while to give all the automatic reaction stuff time to get well programmed in your brain.

Hey Craig,
Welcome and congrats on the new Bonnie. The Honda looks very nice too! Bought it for $728? Wanna sell it for $750 --- you make a profit of $22 :-D :-D :-D

Nice bonnie, but it's the honda that intrigues me cuz i had the scrambler version of that bike in the same color. I believe the "CL" as you cited. Man, back in the early 70's i was so hot for that bike i had to have one. Wound up selling many posessions to get it. Then wrecked it totally a few weeks later ! Those old hondas were great bikes. Makes me wanna see if i can find one as a daily commuter for gas savings. Not sure i'd enjoy riding it any less than my speedy.

Next Thursday(August 31st) is the last vintage car/motorcycle show in Downtown La Mesa for the summer. Maybe the local "new bonnie" owners should show up to represent!

Thanks for the compliments. :-D

Bonnie is a work in progress. The previous owner abused her. It's taken alot of elbow grease to clean up the bike. Plus a new rear tire, chain & chaingaurd, new spark plugs and wires, etc.

I don't mind the necessities, being as full asking price wasn't paid. :hammer:

The sound of this bike is thrilling every time it's fired up! :wow:
