Hi all,
Been reading the forum for a while and decided to post. BTW, Thanks for all the excellent info I have gained. I really appreciate the knowledge and experience of the members. Hopefully I will have something to contribute back.
Just a few questions about the Scorched Yellow and Black Bonnies.
1. How many are there out there ? I have seen three here in Perth already sold including mine, and one is sitting on the local dealer's floor for sale now. At least one I know of in eastern states australia. For a supposed "special" or "one-off" there seem to be a conspicuously high amount of them.
2. Is this a genuine colour scheme of the past ? Any info on Year and Model that sported this colour would be appreciated. I have seen black, with gold stripes a few times...??
3. Does anyone have concrete info to suggest that this is a scheme for '07 ? Saw one other "special" come through the dealer that was bright metallic blue and white as well...?
Why would they just send random colours to dealers with no explanation for why they are there ? My dealer was hoping to fill a few orders for opal and tang when my yellow one arrived.
Thanks to the resources of this forum I have Mbars coming from Neil Hyde in UK and a Dart flyscreen arriving soon from NewBonneville. Excellent service from both suppliers. May as well chip-in with a glowing endorsement of Brent and team, given the recent discussions.
Thanks again to all. :-D

iguana,
It's strange that I live in a city that has a Triumph dealer that sells a good amount of bikes, and yet I seldom see another Triumph riding by. I do visit two Triumph dealerships from time to time but never noticed the paint jobs you are speaking of.
I wonder if a bike can be ordered with non-standard paint schemes.

It looks like what you've got there is a 2007 T100.
Triumph released the '07 Bonnevilles early due to demand and Black/Yellow is one of the new colour schemes.
The '06's were Black/Red and White/Tangerine.

That black and yellow looks real good, if they would have sent any to the US I would have gotten that color. I am pretty sure the ones that went to Austalia, were 06's since there were pics of them up here early in the year, and not just an 07 early release for them. I wonder why they showed up only over there though?

Where were you able to find that Black/Yellow is one of the '07 schemes? All I've been able to find is this:
Finally, Triumph leaves the engineering and urban styling of the T100 model untouched, but they are re-introducing the popular T100 color of Jet Black and Opal White with a unique, hand painted Gold Coach Line and will be continuing with the popular Jet Black and Tornado Red, also with a hand painted Silver Coach Line.

Hi Big_Rick,
Nope. It's definitely an '06. Got it in April this year and definitely an '06 compliance plate which makes it all the more curious.
It's interesting to see opinions on the scheme. Even I was a little under-whelmed when i first saw it. I took a night to think it over and then decided to take it. Now i'm pretty pleased with it. Just fitted M bars and it's now looking suitably aggressive in it's lines.
will post pics when i take them.

Hi Guy, I've been tryin to find out the answers to your questions for a while, cos like Ridge said ...
best I can figure, is that this colour was a limited run (150) in 06.
It is tho, without a doubt the prettiest Bonny!!!
