I just bought an 02 Bonneville. I currently have a full face helmet (HJC) and it doesn't look right with this bike.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a helmet that works with a Bonneville?
Chris

If you like HJC you might like this one.
HJC CS-5

Yea, I have seen that helmet - they also make one with a flip up visor.
How do you wear with this helmet? Sunglasses? What about at night?

Congratulations on your new bike. I also have a 2002 Bonneville. It replaced my 2001 that I killed. Take it from someone that a few weeks ago cracked a Shoe RF1000 full face on the ground. Whatever it looks like go for protection and comfort first. I was sore for a while but here to ride again!

I have one of those i'd be willing to sell, but i believe it's the better one. They have a cheaper model and a better model of that 3/4 style. This one is much better than my HJC 1/2 helmet which is the cheap version of thier 1/2 helmets. It's silver, lterally brand new used one time......honestly ! I just don't like the size. It's a large and i paid $92 OTD. I'll sell it pretty cheap if you wanna make an offer. If you consider one, check them out locally and make me a cheap offer if you like em.
Yeah, mine is the CL, not CS.....

Goggles! Don't rely on sunglasses. They typically will not deflect thrown road debris.

LoxPump,
Tell me more about the accident - what happened?
Do you recommend a full face helmet? What would have happened if you were wearing a 3/4?

Listen to Loxpump.
Who cares what the helmet looks like? A slightly "uncool" helmet looks a whole lot better than a torn-off face.

Drift,
Congrats on your new bike!
Without getting into the helmet debate, I'm going to gently suggest you
consider reading this thread. It's not terribly long, and may figure into
your helmet decision.
Just a matter of when thread
Cheers,
D9
