Anyone know how they are? They look like an interesting design especially the new models with the tinted secondary visor.
I wonder how safe they are as well.

Have it and wear it every day. Very solid helmet and the tinted visor works great. Very well built. If I change anything would be to lower the price so more of my friends would buy it.

I read some reviews on the Justissimo that slated it's ability to keep out water in rain or snow.. guess you wouldn't have much of a problem in Fl, but you might in NY..
Schuberth J1 is the dogs b0llocks.. expensive but hey, my head is priceless.

Haven't had much riding in the rain as this summers been a hot one. But no leaks so far.

I bought one last weekend with my new SM, and despite the fact my wife says I look like I should be going to the moon, it is a very comfortable helmet. But yeah, $300 was pretty steep. Has anybody done he conversion from full face on the Jutisimmo?

I have a "Justissimo" and I like it very much. As I am totally new to motorcycling in modern terms (never had a “full face” helmet when I used to ride 20 years ago!) I cannot compare with any other because this is my first one. The only comment I have is that I find it rather noisy above 100Km/h but probably that is normal.

I have had one for 11,000 miles and love it - The only drawbacks I have found are they are noisey and the padding makes the helmet loose over time, so my advice is get a tight fitting one first off :hammer:

I really wish Shoei would make a helmet with the tinted visor like the modulars.

I like the convenience of flip up full face helmets. I've owned several over the years, including BMW Sys 1 and Sys2, Shoei Duotech, and multiple Nolans. I do question the reliability of the locking chin bar, especially after reading a report in one of the BMW club mags by a member who hit a deer, went down, and apparently had the chin bar unlatch and pop open when he hit the pavement.
I'm certain some have better locks than others. I read a report several months ago that indicated some mfgs used metal latches, while others used plastic.
One of my Nolans needed to be sent back to the factory for repair, because although the locking mechanism clicked into place, it was possible to pull it open without depressing the unlock button.

only complaint is noise, much louder than non flip up but most flip up helmets are ( wear ear plugs, end of problem)
I bought mine in the UK and wore it all the time, to include a recent 1900 mile one way trip and return 6 months later.
Never once had a problem with rain, and I have worn it in Jet fighter conversion mode ( which is cool as all get out with black shade down) but I like the flip up, I can wear it up in slow traffic and down for normal use
