"Discussions and Tech-Talk for owners of the Triumph America and Triumph Speedmaster"

Yea.. like I'm always getting confused with all the Suzuki America's and Kawasaki Speedmaster's out there..! Seems a bit redundant but Triumph This and Triumph That? I would kind of hope that by the time a person has gotten THIS deep into TriumphRat.net they would have already figured out it's a "Triumph" related website..!! Oh well, it's a confusing world out there. So how many of us have gone to >> HERE << by mistake?
Or, was it a mistake...?? mmmmm.... if only i could ride one of THOSE Triumph's..!!

;-)

This post is a perfect example of what does NOT belong in tech talk.

When I was first looking for Rat.net, I went to that site instead. On my work computer.

Yes, indeed, Normandy is right - I don't even have to look at the pix.

Remind me to just copy and paste the following phrase:

"Yes, this should be moved to Twin Hangout"....

Oh yeah, I now go to triumph.com (especially the girls from Brazil) almost as often I as hit the boards! I think someone out there is just looking out for us. Kind of an added benefit you know?

Oooppss.. actually I thought I HAD posted it in "Twin Hangout", that's what happens when you open "Twin Hangout", "Bonnie Owners Forum" and "Vertical Twin Cruisers Forum" in 3 separate windows. Bouncing back and forth between the different groups can really get confusing..! The problem is there are still lots of active tech threads left over from before which forces everyone to use "Twin Hangout" to follow previous tech posts. If an old tech post should become active again couldn't you bump those as well into their respective groups..? I know, it might be a bit of work on the admins part but in the end it would be a lot less confussing.

That's a very good idea, Paul, but I'm not sure our underpaid volunteer moderators have the time to do even that.

I suggested something much more daunting in an earlier thread, lost by now in the morass, of course. I suggested that maybe we should ask Shawn whether he could find someone to go through the massive data base in all the prior threads and move the good tech threads to their respective forums.

There is a lot of good stuff out there and it would be a massive undertaking, but if the really useful threads could be moved and then made a sticky thread it would be great. The search engine is very poor at picking out threads on topics we search for. I don't know exactly what it scans but I seldom can find a thread that I KNOW is out there.

Unfortunately I am too lazy and not clairvoyant enough to earmark key threads like some folks here do. I tried it once a couple of years ago when I was on the Triples forum and it seemed that I never earmarked what I wanted to find later, and earmarked a lot of stuff I never did use later at all.

Can you tell that I would NOT be the right person to research the threads and decide whether, where to move them??? I like the idea (well, of course, its mine :-D ) but I definitely do NOT want the job.

Take care,

Monte
