Went out today to see if I could find a 90 degree valve stem adapter, as some of the air hoses around here are a real pain to use - especially on the rear tire. Dropped into my dealer first (Ottawa Good Time Centre) expecting he wouldn't have any, as they seem to be primarily a BMW thing. But he did! Similar to the one pictured below, but a Chinese knock-off rather that the Wunderlich item shown. Also about half the price at Cdn$7.95. Note that you don't ride with this in place, but just use it to extend the valve stem out to the side if you have trouble with a certain air hose nozzle. Actually, the reason my dealer had them in stock was for some of the Kawasaki Vulcans which apparently also have the same problem. Suggest you try a BMW dealer if your local doesn't carry them. Or Google "90 degree valve stem adapter".

The Speedmaster has right angle stems mounted permanently on the rims. Nice touch Triumph!

Thats because they are alloy rims, while the bonnies have spoked wheels and therefore tubes. So the stem is part of the tube.

But my America has one on the back too!! Complete with spoked wheels.

After breaking the valve on my learner bike, I got one the the right angle things....and it was the best couple of quid spent. I still use it to check the front tyre pressure. Just makes life that little easier...
