Has anybody taken a trip to Salt Lake City from the Bay Area?

I'm curious how long it took, what the roads were like, and whether there were any good B&Bs on the way.

You might want to try a Motorcycle Touring Forum. I am riding to B.C. in July and those guys were helpful on routes and lodging. I use Delphi Forums. There is a thread on the NTBF about riding to Utah. It is in the General folder under ' Tips on riding to Utah'.
