Did some mods which I thought maybe of interest to others.
Removed AI,Thunderbike Mufflers,125mains,2.5turns in the idle mixture,Norman Hyde Bellmouth and a K&N filter.
Seat of the pants survey......huge difference.
Very aggresive mid range,great noise.
100mph no problem.
Have ordered 19t front sprocket to try and bring the revs down.
Next step is to remove the restrictor plate in the air box but will need bigger main jets as right now I think it's at it max.

Thanks for the info.
Did you do the work yourself? Was it easy? Whose AI did you use? Is the Idle mixture readily accessible?
(Note: planning to buy a Scrambler and lining up the exact same mods. I am also thinking about an Air Box Eliminator Kit - what jetting would you go to in this case?)

Yes I did the work myself.
Got the parts from Brent at www.newbonneville.com
The idle mixture screw is accessible but you have to buy the d-shape tool which again, including the mufflers are available from Brent.
All the info I got about doing any mods to my bike are from this forum. I thank all who have posted for their help.
I am very happy with the mods I have done.
Any comments from those unfamiliar with the Scrambler about the lack of power just need to wait, it just needs to be untapped but unfortunately it is still new to a lot of people and has yet to be played with.
The mods I have done have totally transformed the bike.

Normandy, you can e-mail me and I will tell you how many loonies.

I did not remove the restrictor plate.
I tried the bellmouth without rejetting and it didn't like it at all. I then rejetted and it made a huge difference so it was probably a combination of both.
It now goes really well. Great mid range and will rev out in each gear. Pulls real hard.
I think it will handle a 19th front sprocket no problem as like I said, great inprovement in midrange torque.
I don't know whether I will remove the restrictor plate. It will probably need rejetting again if I do and I'm not sure if it will be as much of a noticable difference to what I have done already. Maybe someone else could enlighten me on that one.

Thanks Sprocky.
This is great help and info for my future set-up. I believe I'll go 100% with your set-up.
One more questions. Is the stock Scrambler main jet a 120?

AS to the "D" head idle mixture screw - you don't really need to buy a special tool to adjust it. What you want to do is rmove it and then use a Dremel tool to cut a slot in it, and then you can use a screwdriver to replace and adjust it.

To remove it to work on it, simply take a short pice of small rubber or vinyl tubing and push it on to the "D" head. This will give enough fricton to allow you to use the tubing to unscrew it.
