Then maybe we should have a 'twin talk hang-out' topic where anyone who just wants to chat, rant or annoy everyone can go. Then you don't need to look at that topic! Would everyone be happy then? S'pose not - but it might be an imporvement. Then we could moan at 'em when they stray into other topics?

Food for thought:

How about a "Rat Rant" where anything short of death threats is allowed..!!
Could be fun..
:-)

Monte

I reckon it's because a lot of people like me, who are newcomers and relative new comers, actually only ever visit the one site

Over a short time there is a feeling that we get to "know" and appreciate the regular contributors so we have a feeling of "belonging" here on this forum

So I've never posted anywhere else, and I could have done (my long ramble post for instance), because a) it didn't occur to me and b) because I feel these are the people I know and therefore these are the people I want to talk to

I agree with you that there seems to be some threads on general topics that don't specifically belong to this forum and some of them do get a bit heated or - dare I say it - boring, whinging about the same old stuff

But your point is well made so I think I shall have to broaden my horizons and get to know more people by looking on the other forum you refer too

I just hope I don't get fed up with people ranting and "going on" though because some of the general threads are really interesting and may be harder to find in amongst the other not so interesting stuff

See you over there

I agree with both Monte and Bazza. Because the name is attached to the post, we all know where the problems lay.
Perhaps those with an "agenda" should post elsewhere.
I am one of the oldest members on this forum but left it
years ago cause it was *****. I only recently got
re-interested cause of the people involved and hopefully
this time we can get past it.

I am my own censor. I don't feel like I have to read every thread that comes down the pike. I too see some threads that don't fit here. But I just ignore them. If they keep getting longer & longer then there must be some on here that prefer them & want to get they "say" in.
If they don't belong they will go away.
But what really bothers me is the Martians that are walking around among us on the streets. They have came down here to rule the Earth. I for one don't like that. Just listen to "Coast to Coast AM". It is really the illegal Martians that are causing all the trouble.
Sorry. Not trying to make fun of your topic. I just ignore the ones I disagree with. Only I know what I want & don't want.

Guess I'll shut up then! Just though we could capture all the inconsequential rubbish in one place..... I'm probably guilty of posting stuff that isn;t always technical or directly related to the great twins. If so - utmost apologies!

I keep this quote in mind every time I feel the need to reply to a volatile post.:
"Some times when you argue with a fool it's hard to tell who is who."

Or perhaps, those that disagree, can agree on just one premise: "The other guy is an idiot." :-D

By the way. Is this a "Biker Hang Out Topic"?
