Does anyone own a Davida Classic Jet? I am wanting to order one but wonder how good they are. Is the size smaller than a normal 3/4 helmet? Thanks

I love the look and the price I assume would assure the quality. I'm actually going to a place that sells them here in town to try out a couple for fit in a few days...I'll post my thoughts.

Chazzman,

I have a Classic Jet. Been wearing it for over a year. As I've posted elsewhere, it is the most comfortable, quietest helmet I've ever worn. I've had many full face lids, but the Classic Jet beats them all.

I was right on the cusp between M and L on Davida's sizing chart. Went with the Medium, and it fits me perfectly. I ordered mine from glorysales.com (along with 2 pair of goggles and another Davida Classic pudding basin lid). So I was not able to try it on before I bought it. Yeah, I took a chance. But it worked out great for me. I love my Classic Jet.

Hope that helps!

paul

Cute helmets! I've been told I have a face for full-face helmets.

I just ordered a Cromwell Hurricane from designerhelmets.com - maybe an alternative to the Davida? £175 inc tax (free shipping to UK - added to other countries)

This one has full EU approval - not sure about DOT though.

i bought my davida from glory in hollywood, wierd place, but they had a couple of very nice cafe bikes there (old MV agusta and a bonny)

i have the green, white, red half face one for when i take my old ducati out; it's super nice but pretty expensive for a novelty helmet

Bought my special order Davida JET Union Jack paint job from the Florida distributor and they got it to me in good time. I cannot wear the helmet-despite getting an XXL size the thing will almost not go on over my head and is impossible to wear without a great deal of pain from pressure on my jaw, ears and sides of my face, etc. OUCH! It is a beautiful helmet but is made for a rather thin (English?) face shape and it does not fit me. It is a JET model and is ECE-RF22-05 approved as well as British Motorcycle Sport approved and like I said , I cannot use it. It is a shame. It is an XXL and the head circumference is 64cm but the face and ears etc., are not open enough for me to wear it. It is leather lined and absolutely gorgeous. I do not know where they get their head shapes from but they are not from any people that I know. If you have a narrow jaw and your face is not too wide I will sell this beauty to you for $300-it is brand new and in original box etc. You can see it on the Davida Web site. Will throw in a pair of nice goggles too!! I really wanted this helmet to work. Be careful buying Davida-I have numerous Arai and a Schuberth helmet and they fit fine! (Arai fits great In XL size)
