Removed the AI today and plunked in a K&N Filter.
Seemed to be a little hesitant when blipping the throttle.
Any suggestion to how many turns out I should go in the idle mixture.It was 1 1/4 and I backed it out another 3/4 turn and it has improved a bit.

I set mine at 3-1/4 turns out when I did the AI. I have not touched it since.

You have the 865cc/270d engine, same as the Speedmaster. You should reseach what SM had done to their bikes in terms of jetting.

Countershaft sprocket changes are dirt cheap and aggressive brake pads are always a good idea.
