Hi, I have set up a credit card to do some internet shopping, I was planning on dealing with new bonneville for a start as I was told that the postage or tax from the UK was dearer, any response to this? I live in Australia. I have read about so many people on this site dealing with NB and have seen no complaints as yet, so I think I should be ok on that regard but I must admit to still being very nervous about shopping from overseas. Neale.

Brent is as fair and honest a guy as you'll find. He'll tell you exactly what you're in for shopping overseas and you can be sure you'll be treated like family. His business isn't some huge corporation that couldn't care less about it's customers. It's a small business that thrives on being good to his customers which is why he does well. When i first got here i thought everyone was brown nosing him, but turns out he really deserves the rep he enjoys. He's been more than fair to me. Have no fear when ordering from him !

neale,
I think you'll be very safe dealing with NB. Brent will treat you right. As far as overseas purchases go, as long as your comfortable with the company your buying from and are confident they can manage to ship overseas, you'll be in good shape.

I purchase products from the UK on a fairly regular basis and have never had any trouble with shipping, credit cards, etc....

Generally speaking, your credit card company's exchange rate in the transaction will be fair to you. Double check with them to make sure you are not subject to any unreasonable fees concerning exchange rates. My Visa has no fees involved.

Good Luck,

Neale,
Haven't bought any bike stuff from overseas directly, but I expect I will soon enough. I 'spose when you think about it we're buying from overseas all the time even if it's through others - you're just cutting out the middle man! Never had a problem with books and CD's. I do believe the good reputation that New Bonneville have with members here is well earned. I've also got good vibes from the email communication I've had with Thunderbike NZ if they happen to have what you want.

I've used Brent and found him to be effective and efficient. Got what I wanted and posted to Adelaide in less than 2 weeks turnaround. Just ordered over the net with my credit card - no paypal or anything. I got my son to check out NB's website and somehow he could tell it was secure (or at least as secure as you can get). I'll do it again with no concerns.
