Has anyone installed a throttle lock or some other type of cruise control on the Bonneville? I have looked at several but an hearing that they do not fit correctly.

Check out the short thread on the Delphi New Triumph Bonneville website - #14210.1
I think one of the responses will provide the information you are looking for.

I have been using a Cramp Buster (I think that is the name). It's apice of plastic which wraps around the throttle grip, an dyou just rest your hand on it to hold a steady spped. It allows you to relax your grip. It cost about $10 and is easlit removed in afew seconds. Give it a try.

:-D I will definitely also look at the thread at delphi. But to answer the question I just use a $7 throttle rocket (can be purchased at nearly any bike shop). I love it.

Bryan, that's a very nice job. I have the same setup on the BMW K75, so the screw/spring combination is available at BMW dealers for about $20. It's been on now for about 80,000 miles without trouble. It also has a little plastic tip to keep from hurting the housing.

Some people use an o'ring between the edge of the housing and the inner end of the grip. Works about the same. Gives enough tension to let you relax the hand and not enough resistance to interfere with deceleration.

A $1 plumbing o-ring is just right for adding some friction to the throttle. I keep one on my grip and a few extra in the saddlebags, although I've never broken one. I put the o-ring on half-way between the rubber grip and handlebar control module. If I get in traffic, easy to flip off.
