Man I love the white/tangerine color scheme but...after riding this weekend I realized that not only are the outside of the fenders white, but the insides are too! At least they were white. Now they are full of black spots and splotches. How to you all keep them clean? Looks like the wheels have to be removed to get it really clean. Of course I can let it go and sooner or later the undersides will be all black. Don't think it will do much good to wax under there either. I guess I'll just ride and not worry about it.

Mine's white and orange too. It's about 11 months old now. I don't clean underneath that often, just occasionally. It helps if you're good at getting your hands into restricted places, but even then it's not easy!
I'd just ride it and get between the tire and the mudguards when you can. A lot of the time most of the road dirt gets sluiced out when it rains. So it wont look pristine white all the time, but is it that important? It's nice if a bike looks clean and smart, it's a matter of pride, but bikes are meant to be ridden - and life's too short! :hammer:

grumpyoledude,

Have you tried using S100 cleaner? They make it in two varieties, one is the total bike wash the other is the wheel cleaner. They are essentially the same product, however, the wheel cleaner is a gel (more viscous) to stick on the grime. Spray it on and rinse off with garden sprayer. That should remove most of the gunk. I use both products on my old chain drive Sportster and my Heritage (Air Compresor) with excellent results. You can rub the offending areas with your fingers and it will come out exceptionally clean. Follow up S100 wax and you will be good to go! Sorry to be long winded, but this stuff really works!
P.S. Do not use it on hot surfaces!

I tried cleaning out the dirt, but it was too much work, so I just let that part stay dirty.

Simple. Buy transparent self adhesive film and stick it on. Use a few layers if you want. Then once a year peel it off and you have a clean guard-fender.

That's what they use in racing - peel off strips or tear offs.

You coud also use gaffa tape. Then when you hose it off with a pressure washer it won't harm the paint.
