Other than the photo section, this forum (and most others) don't offer diskspace. Rather, the pictures in posts are "links" to other file locations on the internet.
Also, it's usually not possible to link to a picture that's on your PC. The file has to be moved someplace out on the internet where others can get to it.
Often an ISP provides disk space on their servers where you can copy a file. Read through their home page for instructions on a "personal web page".
You'll use "FTP" to copy the file which usually can be done through your browser. Example: The address I use for comcast is:
ftp://upload.comcast.net - it then prompts for my username and password. Once connected, you can "drag" the file onto their server into directories that work like the directories on your PC.
The picture of Bush and also the picture in my signature are physically located on the comcast servers. If you rt click and select properties, you'll see the "path" to the file. Only this path is stored here on the forum. When you view the forum, your pc requests the file direct from Comcast and it's inserted into the displayed text. The file doesn't ever come from here at the forum.
Once you have the path to your file, you click the Image button below and enter the path.
You can also make a link to your file by selecting the URL button and entering a path and a description you want to have displayed. Like this:
Picture of Bush
The file path I entered is:
http://oldsport.home.comcast.net/photos/brando.jpg
You can cut and paste this into your browser and it will display the picture.
That's about it.
