i installed my scottoiler tonight, and when i looked for a vacuum port, i found 4 of them, two on each side. one is up close to the intake on the head, where it gets really hot. (in fact the vacuum caps always seem to fall apart when i try to remove them.) the other is on top of the carburetor near the front.

it seems to work.

Billy, I have a Scott oiler on my thrux. I put the tee in the vacuum line off the right manifold. I cut it just behind the right carb. I haven't had a problem with heat.

I have my oiler set on 3 and it still makes a big mess out of the rear wheel. It wipes off easily and i haven't had to adjust my chain yet. I only have 2500 miles on it though and have had the oiler on since 300 miles. I hope this helps out. Vince
