I just purchased a 2001 tt600. I got a great deal but there are a few glitches, first and most annoying is the clutch is really hard to pull. Its not just me being a wimp either three of my close riding buddies all agree with me but we don't know what to do about fixing it. (however my left hand kung-fu grip is killer). second my console lights keep burning out the fuse, if i put a higher resistances fuse could it make problems worse? better suggestions...? :???:

Neither problem sounds like a normal bike to me. The clutch should be a reasonable to light pull. Have you checked the cable for wear or the lever for corrosion in the pivot?

Blowing fuses sounds like a wiring problem to me. If you put a higher rated fuse in place of the stock rating, you will toast what is left of your wiring. Instead of solving the problem, you will have a bigger one. Trace the wiring and look for shorts as a start.

Blown fuse means you have a short somewhere. Get a circuit tester and start troubleshooting! Hard clutch lever could mean that your clutch cable is frayed.
