Boy I tell ya what a day...... I try to get my bike inspected and because one of my two headlights was out they wouldnt pass me.... because the nearest Triumph shop is 2-3 hours away I have to try to figure it out myself..... I posted a thread earlier amidst some frustration...... now I have narrowed the light problem down to the wiring harness but the problem is that when I try to take my tank off the "white" fuel connector is leaking fuel like crazy...is this normal??? I disconnect the red and all is fine. When I disconnect the white the gas just keeps on pouring out... am I doing something wrong???? I push the metal button back in and it still leaks... any ideas???? I am trying to avoid a 2-3 hour trip for something that I may be able to do myself.... Thanx for any help you can throw my way......

Both of my fule connectors leak form the tank when disconnected. As they do not leak when assembled (and the recall replacement repair has been done) my dealer will not change them.

If it does not affect the running of the bike you just need to ensure the tank is low before you remove it and when it is off prop it up nose down.

Yeah, the new fuel connectors leak a bit. The old ones didn't. I guess you can have connectors that don't leak or fuel connectors that don't break. Take your pick.

I have the new connectors and they don't leak. I pulled the tank off this weekend to check the valves and didn't have any leakage even though the tank was about 2/3 full.

If you have sliced one whilst putting the connectors together sometiems you can get away with reversing it so the torn flap is on the other side. Good luck
