Congrats lumpus!! I hope you'll post some pictures when you're done.

Feel free to post here or email me off group if you have any specific questions.

As to tires, I really like the new Bridgestone BT014s. And so far they are lasting pretty well. I've heard good things about both the diablos and the new Michelin multicompound tires. All three are worth a look.

And, fortunately, I have been able to ride a bit more. I'm kicking myself for not riding to work today, it's gorgeous! Definitely tomorrow!

Good to see you're getting out and SHOWING that S4 in the streets! Will post photos as and when I get the undertray fitted, which might need a couple of weeks. By the way, my S4 is black, so the photos at least will show another colour perspective. The weather is great here, too, so hope to get out this weekend. Best wishes.

Hi Alex, the undertray has arrived! Only cost me 160 euros (complete with indicators) - so pleased about that. I've got a question that I'd like you to answer to help fitting it. I see there's a lip for the numberplate and I see that you've mounted yours on some kind of bracket. Can you let me know what make it is and where you got it? Best wishes for the weekend.

Yep, I love the looks it gets!! Riding up to Alice's (locals would know the spot Alice's Restaurant) for lunch. Even Hardley riders ask about it.

The bracket I used for the plate is a slightly modified stock bracket. I took the stock bracket off the rear fender, bent the mounting tab slightly and drilled two mounting holes in the bracket about 1" lower than existing to attach the plate.

I LOVE the S4 in black. If I decide to go with custom paint it'll be a mix of flat and glossy black.

You have a good weekend as well!

Hi Alex. Thanks for the info'. Started fitting the undertray on Saturday with a friend of mine who is considerably more able than I am in the mechanical department. Slight problem though. Those standard Ermax LED indicators are absolutely USELESS - invisible would be an understatement! You did well to get different ones.

After a few hours, we got the undertray on and it looks great; however, so I could use the bike yesterday (had a short trip out to the coast) we mounted the number plate and attached some 'temporary' indicators. These we hung from a home-made bracket. We used indicators from my friend's Daytona 600 (he's replaced his with something smaller), which I find more stylish than the S4 originals - more teardrop shaped. Seeing them on the bike, I was rather taken with them and they match the look of the front indicator units. I'm now considering having a special support made up so as to mount them closer to the plate while maintaining something of a minimalist look - and ditching the Ermax LEDs for good. Will try to sort that out in the next few days. Will take photos as and when we're finished.

Hope all is well and that you got out this weekend. :hammer: Best wishes

Congrats lumpus!!! We want pics!!

I didn't get a chance to ride at all this weekend. I had a tournament at the beach on saturday and another at a local university on sunday. Took 7th and 2nd respectively. A pretty good weekend!

Now get some pics up

Just designed and had made a support for the numberplate. Having it painted. Once fitted, the pics will appear. By the way, my rear light does a good job on the numberplate, so I won't need extra lights to illuminate it. Alex, what are you competing in??!! :-D

Cool, can't wait to see it!

I play beach volleyball. Was down in santa barbara for the AVP qualifier. It was a really nice weekend.

Volley ball on a Californian beach, sounds great! Just doing a few finishing touches to the bike, then I'll have the photos ready. Have a great weekend.
