Special Edition Daytona

Hi everyone

Can anybody confirm that there was a special edition Daytona 600 ? with a full union jack fairing. I don't mean just the cockpit with the union jack but the whole fairing.

If so can you tell me which model and years it was produced.

Agreed that Valmoto did produce a race version. But the third pic is from Triumph with no reference to the Valmoto bikes.

The Valmoto bike is a race team bike and the official bikes are painted in racing yellow. You cannot buy these, they must be custom.

The tearing union jack extends down onto the side fairings on the Valmoto Rep. on an aftermarket nose-cone it will only be on the nose.

There is an aftermarket nose-cone available from jack lilley http://www.jacklilley.com/products_c...ry_type_id=780 or your triumph stealer with the tearing union jack. This is not a special edition part and from memory is actually cheaper than a nose cone without the union jack on it.

The third picture is the Union Flag fairing. It is only the fairing upper. There were a few full-on Valmoto replicas made. They look almost exactly like Craig Jones' bike.

I don't know where they all went, but I think most stayed in the UK. A few made it to the US. Good luck finding one!

here in the US, we got a limited edition 600. it was not tuned, nor did it have special parts - all you got were some pretty nice looking graphics for $500 or $1000 more (i don't remember the exact markup). here is a pic i found out in internet land - this bike looks like it's just off the showroom floor:

Hi all

Thanks for the replies. I have just come from my local dealer. They say that there was no special edition with the full graphics amd full fairing union jack in the UK. Everyone that you see is done by their owners. That is why if you look carefully, they are all slightly different. Some have missing sponsors logos and some have them in slightly different places.

The graphics are available but the Union Jack has to be airbrushed on. Dealer said about £800 to do the graphics and union jack.

I am a bit dissapointed, I had hoped that there was a professional RR verison released.

Thread from the dead!!!!

My dealer tells me that the bodywork for mine came from one of just 11 Valmoto Reps imported to the US....my contact at Triumph Hinckly tells me no such bikes were ever made...

...ignoring the red tape that covers the headlights (for track use) the nose-cone is a stock red unit with the upper part having had some blue paint added...the rest of it is entirely done with decals - the nosecone AND the side fairings are done this way.

I have no honest idea as to the genuine origins of these fairings, although I must admit I have a tough time believing a CA dealer went to the trouble of having the UJ nose decals made up in the way they were done...anyone have any ideas???
