I probably need to have my codes checked also. My 01 does the same stalling trick, much less now than when I first bought it last year. I put new plugs in this spring but it still happens occasionally. This typically only happens while the clutch is held in while slowing down.

It's very occasional for me though, perhaps five or six times in the last 1000 miles.

If you have a Power Commander what is it reading? Your map might need some re-mapping...

I noticed that with my bike engine off but with the key turned on and the kill switch on my PCIIIUSB read that my throttle was at 6%. I'll try resetting that to 0 and see if that helps. Here is the map I have on the bike (the way it was from the previous owner). I have a Scorpion exhaust and I supposedly have a K&N filter but I honestly have not even checked that out yet. The bike was supposedly dyno tuned by the previous owner, I am not sure on the validity of this claim but the bike has been running great until recently.

There's not a lot of performance difference between a K&N filter and a stock filter, so it doesn't matter.

I don't remember if anybody mentioned looking at the various vacuum hoses to make sure they are all properly connected. Also, make sure there are no unplugged holes in the airbox downstream of the filter.

How would you go about readjusting the TPS sensor or throttle position? I am having EXACTLY the same problems with my daytona 650, you can look at the previous thread about it below titled 'Daytona 650 dies at idle'. I ran lucas injector cleaner through four tanks as well as completely cleaning everything out, oil, filters, new plugs, etc. I HAVE however given it throttle at startup to try and get it to fire up, so I am sure that my TPS is out of whack. Help!

Evanman48, your TPS sensor is probably located at the end of the throttle cable on the engine side on/near the throttle bodies. To adjust it you probably have to check the wires/contacts with a multimeter for an ohm reading and then physically adjust it so that it falls within a certain spec. Sorry I'm so vague on this but I have yet to do it on my bike but I have done it on my car.

I reset my PCIII USB's throttle position yesterday, like I said it was reading 6% when completely off the throttle. The throttle position reading was at about 5500 (I'm not sure what measurement this is) and the baseline 0% was like 4750 so my TPS sensor may need an adjustment as well.

Anyway so far I haven't had it stall on me but I have yet to ride under the same weather conditions as when it was happening. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
