TT Undertail
I am looking in to buying an undertail for my TT. The only one I found is from Matrix Bikes. Has anyone installed this on thier bike? Does anyone know of any other manufacturers? I am attaching the link to the site in case anyone else is interested in the undertail or hugger: http://www.matrixbikes.com/container...VtcGgmVFQ2MDA=

That is so sweet! I wish now I never spent that money on tail fairings because I would've scooped these pieces up in a heart beat!

Zac, this just replaces (or rather covers up) the black undertail - you still need your tail pieces.

tt_600_rider, fyi ermax makes another undertail: http://www.redracingparts.com/englis...our6002003.php and there is the stainless steel option as well - not really an undertail, but a fender eliminator: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRIUM...spagenameZWDVW

thanks for the info dyna. The ermax looks like a good alternative and cheaper. I have a fender eliminator kit on it currently, but am looking to do custom paint with a tapeworks kit is the future and think an undertail will help give it a clean look. Also, if anyone has any good mods for a TT, I would like to know. I am planning on order new body work from sharkskinz, and am interested in doing preformance mods will the kit is getting painted. Any ideas.

you are not getting the sharkskinz tail are you? if so, be prepared for the big bulbous tail like my bike . in all seriousness, i do not think that a painted undertail will fit with the sharkskins tail.

I didn't know you still needed the tail pieces, from the looks of the picture it almost looks as if the undertail takes up part of the tail pieces but maybe that's just my eyes playing tricks on me. I second the non-bubblious tail from sharkskinz, I don't know why they made it like that to be completely honest... I mean, what were they thinking!? You're going to tell me after they made and mounted it to the bike they stood back and said, "Yeah... that's sweet!" lol, I don't know. Anyways guys! Good luck with that piece, if you do get it, you know where to post the pics!

i know exactly what they were thinking - a nice big place to put your race numbers . the tail is definitely not made for the street - it was a real PITA to "fabricate" a tail light that sort of looks ok. i kind of like the tail now and my only complaint is - with all that space inside, where is the trunk lid .

Hey guys, Matrixbikes also makes a cool undertail for the Speed Four. But it says it's for the 03-04. I have an 02! Is there really a difference between the different year models that would keep me from putting one of these on my bike? I will call them and ask, but I was wondering if anybody here knew for sure. Thanks!

Nope, no difference. It will fit any S4 or TT600 ever made.

hahahahah, good one Jeff! No really, that would probably be a sweet mod for that fish tank tail piece. When I was looking at race body work I couldn't sleep at night knowing that's what my tail would look like if I went with the race stuff... The race numbers though, makes a very valid point. Speaking of race numbers and don't mean to hi-jack the thread here but is there a "better than most" website out there for race decals and numbers? I'm looking to put my fairings back on now but with an ultra-flat black paint job looking rather dull I need something to fill it in. Maybe the TTs on the sides and some sponsors or something and numbers? I was thinking #01 since the bike is an '01.
