Expansion Tank

I just purchased a naked '00 TT600 that is missing the expansion tank...still fixing a few things but I did take it out on a few short rides with no major issues ...getting different opinions from everyone...do I really need it?? If so, do I have to purchase a stock tank or can I swap with something else? I don't want to place it on the front of the bike...ugly...issues with relocating? I appreciate any help/advice... Thanks!!

You should have one for sure.

You don't need a "stock" S4 unit, any overflow can will work as these are not pressurized. You could even make one from a pop bottle.
