01 tt600 stator ohm reading
Hi all, f n g here,
I've read a lot of posts about the checks and replacement of stator coils but
i have yet to find any about the resistance reading between any of the winding leads.
Having experienced the typical "battery drain and display blinking" symptoms led me to the troubleshooting genius of this collective mass. Btw, i do have the stator out and looking toward 2 oclock, the varnish on the windings seem to be melted off...well, certainly charred in appearance. Current ohm readings are from 0.2 to 0.5 which in my trade would indicate a short.
Charge rate is fine until bike temp. reaches 180, then volts start dropping leading to batt. discharge and NO RESTART unless jumped.
If anyone has a link or suggestion please feel free to pass it my way.
