Got the 02 sensor plugged in, and I'll check into the pressure sending sensor. I'm gonna plug up the OBDII reader tomorrow and figure out if it's throwing any codes. (hopefully it will work)

I went out tonight and bought a new 100watt lightbulb for the garage, and a plugin 150watt floodlight that i'm going to mount to the wall. I WILL get it to start tomorrow lol.

DTC Codes:

P0108 Manifold or Barometer pressure high input
P0112 Intake Ambient Temperature Circuit low input
P0654 Engine RPM Circuit Malfunction.
P1115 Possibly O2 sensor
P1500 Possibly Fuel pump

Any suggestions? I'm just trying to get the starter to engage, after that I can troubleshoot myself, but I have no idea which one of these would cause the starter not to engage.

So, pretty much I've decided that most of the problems are stemming from trying to integrate some of the old tt600 electricals (display, and i think that's it, but there must be more) with the new '04 D600 electricals.

I plugged up all the original tt600 stuff today, and actually got the display to read the odometer etc. so i think my next step is going to be swapping out the throttle bodies/injection. Seems easier, I think, and cheaper than taking it to a dealer to fix my current problems.

I tested the starter today by just running + and - to it, and it clicked once, but didn't do anything else. Hopefully that just means a dead battery, because this new motor looks almost mint, and has only 900 miles on it.

Anyways, I'm probably going to start a new thread pertaining to the Throttle Body swap. Also, I'm going to need a new starter solenoid - I think I threw my old one against a wall somewhere, and now I lost it.

Negative. Throttle bodies are not interchangeable. Fuel injectors are built into the tb's on the Daytona, fuel injectors are built into the head on the tt600

First one is a low fuel level indicator. There should be a plug in under the tank.

Ordered a new main wiring harness today, so i'm gonna swap that in and hope it does something. If not, i'm gonna put it all together and take it to the dealer and have them diagnose the problem for hopefully not too much money, then take it from there.

sorry, i haven't read your thread in a bit. the tt600 gauges should work just fine with the daytona harness/motor/ECM. at least they did with my bike. i was under the impression that the gauges had to match the EFI (Sagem or Kiehin), but i was not able to source D600 gauges cheaply. i figured that if the connector fit, they would most likely work (why would Triumph make 2 different bits of electronics if they didn't have to) - and yes they work just fine, right down to the check engine light responding as it should.

which new wiring harness did you order - TT600 or D600? just going back over your thread. the D600 wiring harness is somewhat different from the D650, so i won't be of too much help, but i know for certain that you will have at least 1 connector not used on the harness. the oil pressure sender will not prevent the bike from turning over. not trying to be a jerk, but did you check the simple things like make sure that the kick stand sensor is hooked up and the stand is in the right position? same thing for the clutch lever sensor - hooked up and engaged when you are trying to turn the bike over? how old is your battery and what condition is it in? even if your battery has 12 volts, if it's at the end of life, it won't be enough to turn the bike over and may cause issues with the gauges. finally, have you checked all of your relays? i would make certain that yours are in the right place and are good. by looking at the rear rotor on your donor bike, i see that the daytona sat outside for some time. my 650 donor was the same way and half of the relays were completely rusted inside. you can easily pry the tops off each relay and see how they look inside. hth

The wiring harness from the D600 that came with the donor bike was all frayed and some wires were cut and looked like it had been outside. I tried reconnecting most of the wires, but there were still some frayed and a couple wires that were the same colors. The fuse boxes look coated in some sort of white stuff (not grease, probably just corrosion). I tried cranking it hooked up to jumper cables too, so there's that.

I figure I'll just bypass the whole issue and install a new one and not have to worry about reconnecting wires and troubleshooting the harness itself. I work installing car audio at Best Buy, so I can get relays for next to nothing, I'll just replace them all.

As for the kick stand, I swapped over sensors from the d600 to the TT600, tried it with the stand down, up, in neutral, in gear, clutch in, clutch out, with the tt600 sensor, and pretty much any combination of those.

I'll start all over again when I get the new harness and see how it goes.

Got the wiring harness in today, plugged (mostly) everything in, turned the key - Display lights up and works good now! Tomorrow to see if she'll start.
