Loading a bike into the back seat of a car gets you big points in the squid purity test. Well done!

Pictures tomorrow, i promise. I'm just too angry at the thing right now lol.

I've got all the harnesses and connectors that I can find plugged in. Currently no LCD/Speedo plugged in, gotta rewire that harness, looks like somebody cut it. Also missing one spdt relay near the front harness which i'm gonna pick up tomorrow from work.

When I turn the key, it makes a couple funny noises, but won't start when i press the switch. Red switch is in the run position, and the clutch lever is in There are a couple of plugs that I can't find mates to, two behind the throttle bodies, and one in front. Any ideas?

There's a little nubbins on the right side of the block with a wire coming out of it that's broken off, could that stop it from starting? Also, do regular OBDII readers work on the triumphs? I could bring one home from work and see what I might have missed.

Here it is with the new engine in. Just kinda roughing everything in and making all the connections before i make it all look pretty, just to make sure it'll crank over.

It fits good, just a couple things are a little different, like the mounting of that large box hanging over the side of the bike on the bottom there.

Here's all that's left of the old bike i picked up

And a little gas tank

So everything's all strewn about, i'm workin on cleaning it up, it's just tough to work on something and be excited about it, but also really take your time and clean as you go.

So far I've swapped the engines, rear subframes, wiring, and handlebar controls. Daytona 600 handles (clipons? idk) won't fit a TT600 due to a different mounting scheme. Unless you want to swap out the key cylinder and the top clamp too.

Rear subframe fits perfect, looks like rear shocks should swap out too.

I am having a problem getting it to crank over. I found two or three harnesses that I can't find a mate to:

Those are the two plugs, here's the part of the harness they come out of.

Any suggestions or ideas on where they go would be awesome, I can't see anywhere that's missing a plug.

Also, what's this? It's broken, that's all I know.

Also also, there's barely if any oil in the motor right now, would that stop it from cranking? I haven't wanted to fill it up just in case it won't start. I just don't want to waste the money. (there's no fuel in the tank either, to prevent it from running, but would that cause any cranking problems?)

Sorry for no interim pictures (motor in/out, loading the bike into the car etc.) but it's pretty tough to be workin on something and just stop, clean the crap out of your hands, take some pictures, and get back in to it.

im thinking that the fuel might actually do it... sometimes when it is cold outside and i go to start up the fuel pump primes and if i try and start in the middle of priming it will do nothing... no cranking nothing... i never understood that but who knows

I tried another gas tank, and turns out the fuel pump on the red one was probably bad, cuz the blue one actually primes. And leaks gas everywhere. So far I've got fuel pump prime, servos that sound like they may be the choke? and that's pretty much it. No cranky.

So the squareish plug actually plugs into the airbox, but I found another squarish plug without a mate right on top of the fuel rail looks like, with no mate. So that leaves me with one square-metal clip type and one oval behind teh throttle bodies, and one oval type in front of the throttle bodies.

I don't know what the missing plugs are or where they go, but the broken part sure looks like an oil pressure sender.

If you didn't swap the Daytona exhaust, one of the plugs might be for the O2 sensor. TT600 and S4s were Sagem injected and didn't have one. Four cylinder Daytonas have Kiehin injection and O2 sensors.
