After lowering my rear brake lever last week, I continued to lower the gear lever slightly. I have noticed more positive upshifts now, and less false neutrals. Alrighty then!

Punisher,

Was lowering the rear brake as much of a pain as it looks and do you have to play around with the light switch setting after?

I could do with it being a bit lower, but everytime I consider doing it, I just think 'Sod this, I'd rather be riding it' so never got around to it.

its a little awkward, but not too grizzly. Just lube the nut under the rubber boot a bit to make it twirl just a little easier. Also, you can unclip, and remove the brass pin holding the peg to the brake cylinder to make it easier also.

iI agree with both of you, Triumph got the angles slightly wrong.

Got mine just right. Then took it for 4k service and the 'stealer' "corrected" it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bugggger!

I also lowered the gear lever which has massively improved the upshifts but took a while getting used to for the downshifts (with a few false neutrals on the way...)
I've been looking at rearsets to provide a better feel but they are far too £££ so now hoping the linked gearchange on the 650 will cost a reasonable amount and provide a better feel.
