Try this one:

It shows the fuel pump. Most of the stuff you see in the schematic is inside the tank. The fittings at the bottom are parts 17 and 18. The fuel lines have corresponding fittings pugging into those two fittings. Chances are, those are the damaged parts and replacing them is all you need to get it working again.

ok, so if im repeatedly asking the same questions i apologize... but here r some updated pics of the bike, i removed all the fairings today and dropped the battery off at discount to be charged... from all of the info provided i still cant seem to figure this gas tank situation out? must be all this private education idk... below is another, hopefully more clear pic of the one and only broken fitting... i think its plastic? but i may be wrong, it's threaded into the fuel pump just like the other 2 fittings but this is the only one broken! is it necessary to replace all fittings?

also if you can notice the windshield bars above the instrument panel are bent down on the left side making it virtually impossible to turn right, any advice? as far as the fittings and this bar go ive got everything else covered for now...

thanks, Zac

Yes, they sure would.

For the fairing stay, you can either bend it back (very, very carefully, and with some heat on it), or you can hunt down either a new or good used one. It is a pretty straight forward part to remove and replace.

ok so im thinkin about just buying race fairings and have them painted to save the hassle of ones now? the old ones have been painted 3 times already and are really scuffed up... im not afraid to tackle the job but ive never done it before and i figure after i buy all the supplies would it be easier to jus buy new race fairings? the only thing is, the race tail only comes as a single seat and id have to cut out the spaces for the tail light and headlight, how would you do that? mark it up and dremel it out?

heres a site i found off a thread on here, seems to have the most reasonable prices for fiberglass pieces: http://www.skidmarx.co.uk/prices_race_bodywork.htm

Yep, mark it and dremel it. I have skidmarx on my 675 when I take it to the track, and they fit very well. They also held up well in an 80mph +/- lowside crash, but with any luck, you won't test them like that. You will have to drill for the fasteners yourself, since the race glass doesn't typically come predrilled. You will also have to install the Dzus fasteners between the uppers and lowers. It is a straight forward operation. Both the 675's track skins and the Gixxer are just rattle can paint. It comes out fine with enough prep. Not that I do much prep for track use, since the chances of hitting the pavement on the track go up with every hour you spend making your bike look nice.

As a bonus, getting race glass lowers on and off is a very straight forward operation, with fewer fasteners and only one piece to mess with instead of two sides. You may have to remove the upper for some things you can leave it on for now, but it is easy enough to do. I did it every time I took the TT600 to the track while I had it.

Aftermarket glass will always be race glass with no provision for a passenger. Get Supersport glass and you can use the stock seat. The plastic will fit over the rear part of the seat. I suppose you could cut the glass out for the seat, since you will be using it on the street and you won't need the tail for numbers. You will have to modify it a bit, but once again, it isn't too tough. You still have the rashed up tail section, I assume. Use it to make a mould, and modify the race glass accordingly. Then paint it any color you like and any pattern you like. It will look great.

im goin with the skidmarx fiberglass one piece and the tail section... the old tail is completely gone unfortunately but idk about the work modding the new tail... i called a maaco place here in tampa and i can get the fairings and have them painted for around $800 im tryin to keep it low budget for now... im going with a ferrari yellow so i think it'll look good... if there was a diy on here doing that seat project u mentioned i think i might be able to handle the job but idk doing it from scratch... i dont even know where to find the adhesive foam for the seats ive seen them plenty of times but i cant find a site that sells them... i guess i could handle the foam for a bit until i could get the money for an upholstered seat but even then idk how id attach it to the tail...

all in all i think the ferrari yellow will be nice since there arent any yellow bikes around my area... all ur info has been a big help will i cant say thanks enough

another thing i wanted to add... my buddy told me the bike needed to be remapped, he just had a jardine slip-on installed prior to the new purchase of his r6... what does the remap do? how much does it cost? and can any dealer do this?
