Removing Tank?

Well my bike was tipped onto the right side, and there is a bit of smoke now. I have read a few threads about the airbox being coated with oil perhaps. I was just curious when I remove the tank from my tt600 how many fuel lines etc. there are too plug and whats the best way to do it? Anything helps thanks a lot!

First, be prepared for alot of gas, and get a container to drain it into.
There will be 2 thick tubes that run from the rear underside of the tank to the metal fuel rail above the throttle bodies on the engine. Those are the fuel lines which connect to the tank by small connectors. Check to see if the connectors are metal or plastic. Since this is the first time you have done this, don't be suprised to find plastic connectors, colored red and white i think. You may have to replace these after you remove the fuel lines. they are extremely fragile and probably will crack. just another reason to buy some upgrades
Along with the two thick tubes there will be 2(?) thin tubes that are simply vacuum lines attached to the tank near the fuel lines, just some gentle pulling will get those off.

yes, the longer of the tubes collects to a few other vacuum and drain tubes and sits just in front of the sprocket casking (or maybe just behind?)
