Throttle won't close

Hi guys,
Need help. When you back off to change gear, the throttle sticks open then takes about 3 seconds to close. This makes it impossible to tip into a corner etc. If you flick the throttle it shuts normally.
It's not the cable or the twist grip. Nor does it appear to be the electronics, new map, diognostics ok. Mechanic suggested could be butterfly spindle bearings?
Appreciate any advice before I start pulling it apart.
Cheers, John

Do you have bar end mirror, bar end weights, bar end sliders, or anything of the sort? When I first put on my bar end mirrors, they were just a touch too snug, and the throttle would occasionally stick open. Similar scenario, if I flicked it, it would usually close as expected.

If you don't have bar end anything, did the throttle clamp and everything get twisted backwards at all? On my dirt bike, I the clamp and everything twisted backwards (backwards being the way you roll the throttle on) and this caused the throttle to stick until I rolled everything back forwards again.

If these don't help.....good luck!

So your saying that with the throttle cable completely removed from the cam at the throttle bodies, the throttle still hangs up?

Ebay is your friend. I'd pick up another set of throttle bodies. They should snap shut!

Make sure the cable is routed correctly because if its not that could cause issues too.
