no idea

i just bought my tt 600 and when i was dealing with the wiring issues i found this plug and 3 main yellow wires with no home! i really have no idea what they go to the bike starts and runs fine but the check engine light is constantly on. HELP

Probably the California plug.
Apparently you have to have that one in due to some regulations on Cali.
Otherwise you can just leave it to flap about

As for the engine check light, has the battery been flat recently?
If so, give the bike 3 full heat cycles (to running temp, cool, repeat) and it should go away.

It is the California emissions equipment plug. It is part of wiring harnesses for all bikes, but only used on California models. It gets everyone's attention at first- What is this... What is my bike missing... Oh, no problem.

a couple questions.
1. are those the yellow homeless wires on the right hand side of your picture?
2. are the wires out of the stator (left side of engine) hooked up?

Hmm... when i went from my California engine to another TT600 engine that did not have the emission controls, i didnt have any extra wires. should i be worried?

I would hide the bike and hope the Feds dont show up. Seriously, I would fix the check engine light prolem and not worry about it.
