Hi Guys,
So I posted here a while back about the same issue but it was fixed then by replacing the starter motor.
Bike starts fine cold, first time every time, but when you get it hot (100 deg C) she just turns over and doesn't fire.
Previously done:
Tps adjustment
New fuel filter
New stator (1 yr ago)
New starter
New battery
Checked connections and earths
Heavier gauge charging wire mod
6 month old plugs
Next move is to get it hot again and whip out the plugs when it won't start and see if they're wet. The only thing I can think of is possibly valve clearances? Not sure what else changes when the bike gets hot to prevent it from starting. I think the electrics are okay because she charges, and holds charge really well and can turn over for ages on the starter motor. On a side note the iacv makes a fast servo like noise repeatedly when you first turn the bike on, which stops if you slightly twist the throttle and take the weight off it I guess. Bad iacv? Idles fine and no other issues. The bike did throw air temp and crankshaft position sensor fault codes when it wouldn't start but cleared them, crankshaft one came back once when I was trying to start it again the other day but have cleared it and hasn't come back since.
Any help would be massively appreciated! I know these bikes are known for having a lot of issues but I fail to believe that you can't get them running reliably!
