the engine warning light on my newly purchased 2001 TT600 has come on, the alarm went of just before, i had to ride the bike home and it didnt seem to have any problems. Can anyone tell me if the alarm will cause the warning to come on and if so how do i reset it?

Just guessing but if the alarm has a kill switch/imobilizer it might make the ecu think the batt had died which would cause a CEL for 3 heat cycles.

i have cycled it and its gone off, cheers

same happened to me today after fiddling with my alarm

I did three cycles (cold to 72oC) and the light's gone out
