Hi everyone,

I just bought a Daytona 650, I had a carbed zx6r and wanted new fuel injected bike.

Basically I bought it off a mate for a good price as he had stopped using it 6 months ago.

Today I was trying to get it to run, we put a new battery in it, it cranks over fine but sounds like only one cylinder is firing out of the four.

We flushed the fuel system out and put new fuel in.

Pump is priming and pumping, but it will not start.

Does anyone have any ideas where to look next.

Bike has full service history and is only at 18k miles.

Thanks

I have done a search but I could only see the usual, battery, fuel and grounds iv tried most of it.

I believe the injectors are blocked as it's only been run once in the last year, so I will be taking the fuel rail off and seeing how they behave this weekend, does anyone know the voltage they run at?

Doing so I can have a good look for spark and air problems.

I also have a obd cable waiting for me at the post office so I can have a look for error codes on tuneecu.

I will let you know of my findings, any suggestions please throw them my way.

Fixed!

Flushed all the fuel out the tank for a second time, did this through the pump to clear the pump as well, took the fuel rail off and cleaned with carb cleaner lastly cleaned the injectors with carb cleaner and a 3.7 volt battery.

Used the carb cleaner as pressure and the battery to open the injector.

Youtube showed me this, it worked a treat!

Allot of crap came out of the tank and the injectors were blocked from sitting for a year, just in case any I've searches this.

My bike over heated on my first ride, checked the coolant and it was low, so topped it up and will be ordering a new radiator cap, seems to be keeping cool with the coolant toped up, so I'm rather happy with the bike now!
