I guess I'll just ask on here so everyone can see. I was reading the charging mod on the Daytona forum and it said that two brown and two black wires. but ours has a brown, black, and two yellow. Did you just not do his step that wrapped two wires together, or did you find out which yellow wire was a voltage output wire? Sorry if that is hard to understand.

Repairs Begin
I suppose it’s about time to update the thread. I’m all healed up from the wreck and am finally beginning to get the drive to work on the bike some more. I haven’t done much to the bike for the last month or so, but I did get some work done shortly after the wreck. I’ll first post the pictures of the bike the day after the wreck. As for the damage bill:
Right side engine/clutch covers ground down but usable
Muffler discs ground down but usable
Oil pressure sensor broken in two
Right clipon ground down a bit
Brake lever ground down a bit
Right engine mount bolt ground down
Triple clamps seem to be twisted
Notice the leather mark from my dismount...
Now as for what work I have already done:
I pulled off the broken oil pressure sensor and replaced it with a spare. I then pulled off the fuel tank and airbox. The airbox had about a pint of oil in the bottom so that was removed and cleaned out properly. I then took a look down the intake runners and saw the famous joy of a Triumph engine ran on its side: number 2 3 and 4 intake runners were full of oil with #3 being the worst. Now I finally understand what Will meant when he always warned about cleaning out the cylinders of a tipped bike before the restart. I pulled the spark plugs and covered the garage floor and all other parts of the bike I could with newspaper. I then took a large trash bag and draped it over the engine. Once getting juice back to the bike I proceeded to crank the engine over. Holy Hell! There must have been a quart of oil in all those cylinders! The initial burst of oil actually shot the bag into the air, thus allowing a nice coat of oil-mist to attach itself to my face and adjacent objects in the garage. So the cranking, waiting for oil to settle, and more cranking went on until I had the oil pumped out.
I then cleaned up the mess as best I could, cleaned the plugs and got everything put back together. Once I topped off the oil I rolled the bike into the driveway and fired it up. To my relief it fired right up and my thermo-gun showed a good temperature progression on all 4 cylinders—so the injectors were all working properly. After the bike began to warm up it started smoking pretty bad (as I figured) due to all the oil in the exhaust system. I had to shut it off as to not get the fuzz called by the neighborhood. That was that and nothing has really happened since. I am planning on loading the bike into my truck and taking it over to the bodyshop next week where I can fire it and let it run until all the oil is burned out of the system.
So now for the future plan: I would love to keep drag racing the bike but something is telling me not to. With that, I figure I will convert the bike back to street and have just as much fun. My hopes are that the forks will straighten out after loosening the triples and that there is no internal damage to the engine. The plan is to put S4/S3 mirrors on the bike, rig up some turn signals and a license plate frame, and eventually get a set of S4/S3 headlights. I have the front fender that just needs paint. If all goes well with the forks and engine it should be an easy conversion. Below are the pictures of the oil in the airbox/intakes.

Bomb I'm sorry to hear about your accident! I'm glad to hear that you're ok and so is the bike (or seems to be). From the work you've done on this project already I have no doubt the continuation of this project will turn out just as stellar! Keep up the good work because I don't know about other members but your bike has been an inspiration to me! Like always, can't wait to see the progress as well as the finished product! Good luck with it!

Thanks Triumphant600; I'm looking forward to seeing your project updates soon.
For some excellent news, the forks are NOT bent!! I finally got time yesterday to loosen the top triple clamp and bounce the bike a bunch; and what would you know... the wheel came right around. WILL, if you are reading this, good call. That was really the deciding factor as to how much time and money I wanted to throw at the bike, so now it’s on! I ordered a set of new tires yesterday--went with Pirelli Diablo Corsa III's, as I've run Pilot Powers and Metzler M1's (liking both) but have heard great things about the Pirelli's. I also think I have a set of 2007 Speed Triple mirrors purchased, if the guy can find one of them, and will be picking up turn signals this weekend.
So the two major things that are going to delay the road and the bike meeting are the headlights and left rearset. The rearset can be taken care of thanks to some great help and info from Dynagroove, but the S4/S3 headlight assembly market is very dry at the moment; what, no one wrecking bikes anymore? The aftermarket world is a possibility, but I’ve yet to hear good things about the quality of these parts compared to OEM units.
So if anyone gets a drop on a TT600/S4/D600/D650 left rearset or any year S4 or S3 headlight and bracket, or a wrecked bike being parted out or someone converting from S4 to TT600 for that matter, please PM me ASAP! The headlight bracket I need is off any year S4 or 2002-2004 S3.

Aside from watching the Indy 500 and doing my daily ritual of scanning every nook and cranny of the internet for the needed Triumph parts, I got a little bit of work done on the motorcycle this weekend. Starting Friday I pulled the front and rear wheels and got the new tires mounted. I then pulled the forks and checked them for straightness—which to my relief they are 100% okay. The wheels checked out 100% also, so a lot of possible issues are now put to rest. I swapped out the 42 tooth sprocket for a 45 that exchanged hands between Dynagroove and myself a long long time ago (making it a 14/45 setup.) It looks like I can get the chain loose enough using the old chain, but I’ll probably be replacing the chain soon so I’ll lengthen it a bit then.
Then came the fun of fabricating the license plate and rear turn signal mounts. I had a piece of 6061-T6 aluminum sheet waiting to be used; and this stuff is good for such brackets because it is light gauge but very strong and rigid. So after doing some brain storming and measuring I figured out a design that would look good and got to work. In the end it turned out nice and will look great when the metal work is finished and the piece is painted satin black. You can see in one of the pictures where I have outlined in red the approximate line where the excess metal will be cut off; but I don’t want to do this until I have the actual signals in my hand to figure out where they want to go (they are currently ordered and in the mail.)
After I had the license plate mounted I couldn’t help myself so I took the bike for the first ride since the wreck! I geared up and rode up the street to an elementary school parking lot (this is on Saturday, so it was empty and no children were harmed) where I spent some time fooling with the brakes and steering to make sure everything was working well. I then rode a little further up the street to get a little more speed. All in all, the bike runs just as it always did, and nothing felt out of whack.
The one thing that needs attention is the throttle response. After I swapped over to the Supertrapp muffler the throttle response changed to where just after engaging the throttle the rpm wants to easily and rapidly jump up. This took some getting used to at the drags, but I can see it presenting a problem when doing low speed maneuvers on the street. I’m not sure if I can get rid of this abrupt rpm increase by tweaking the throttle cables adjustments, or if I should take out a muffler disc or two in hopes of adding a little more restriction to bring the response closer to stock. I suppose this won’t be resolved until the bike is legal to ride on the street.

You need to make a couple of those and sell them on here! Put me on the list if you do... I need that entire back end replaced from my accident or a fender elim. kit but I can't afford it. Let me know if you're going to make any extras!

Hey, i ride an '04 D6. I thought the tt's had different frames than the D6. Besides the sub-frame it looks identical.

Deano, the frame part numbers are off by one digit, if I recall correctly, which could just be paint. I think they are the same frame, or at least they are very similar. Obviously there will be different mounting holes for fairings and other parts.
The project was coming along well, but has recently ground to a halt. I'm waiting on the LED turn signals which have been a horrible experience due to backorders and unprofessional companies. The market for S3/S4 headlights is still very dry in the U.S. and the European market wants way too much money—so I'm lightless I did do some tuning of the muffler so it agrees with the street a little more. I had trouble finding someone to trade mirror clamps with for the S3 mirrors, so I ended up going out on a limb. I stopped by the local Suzuki dealership and looked at a 2007 SV650. The master cylinder clamp/mirror mount looks identical to the Triumph's S3/S4. Triumph wants $20 a piece for the part while Suzuki wants $11. I suppose the difference in money isn't great, but the fun is in cross-referencing parts; and the fact that the Suzuki dealership is 15 miles closer than Triumph’s also plays in. So I took a chance and ordered two of the clamps. Hopefully they work.

who did you buy the LED turn signals from? and yeah those s3 and s4 OEM headlight and bracket is very hard to find. I was checking Ebay at least every other day and couldn't find them. I broke down and got the aztec8 lights and will be taking a picture of the difference between that and OEM lights (furyfour will hopefully help out with that) So maybe it will be a good cutoff for you.
