you can just use the GSXR #'s for the rear sprocket, steel shouldn't be too hard to find that way. I think it is the same as an 01 GSXR 600.

I went thru a small texas company, got my front, rear sprokets, chain, and press tool for pretty good prices. a DIY that would have cost the same to have a shop do it! they have the 520 conversion, i went with a 15/46 combo and love it. still have enough high end for really fast speeds, and the low rpms seem alot better now. not as much surging (the new chain could have also been a factor). oh, and becareful with the wheelies, way to easy now and way too fun. If I remember correctly, the front sprocket also fits a '98 to '02 ZX6R and the rear also fits a 2002 GSXR 600. You should be able to get sprockets for those from nearly anybody. Chains are completely generic.

Yup - the folks at Sum of All Parts are good folks. Very friendly if you give them a call they can get you set up. My 15/47 conversion came from them.

Thanks all! I've been having really bad luck with finding a rear sprocket at this helps a lot. I'm a 520 14/42, last owner did the conversion. Part of the problem might be that i'm looking to put a steel sprocket on. I live in a very damp climate, so my 'cycle council' (guys helping me out from work) swear by steel over aluminum.
And thanks BBDGriptonia, but i'll stick with the 42t rear sprocket, i've already had my share of wheelies...
Again, thanks. You're all a well of information. Just glad I have a rope & bucket.

In a damp climate (Seattle), I have had very good luck with hard anodized aluminum over steel. I am kind of anal about changing the sprockets with the chain, and aluminum sprockets last as long as a chain if you keep things lubricated and aligned. It is my experience, anyway.

Well after no luck finding a 42t steel 520 rear sprocket for my bike, I ordered a alloy one. A guy from work brought in his Pit Bull for me to borrow. Also i've been doing some research and at least from Vortex, the TT600 has the same sprocket numbers at the GSXR600 '01 - '03. So since my sprocket won't arrive until tuesday, I think i'm going to take off mine now and go to the local Suzuki (5 minute walk from my house, instead of the 30 minute drive to the Triumph dealer ) and see if they really do match up. I'll let you guys know for sure and hopefully add it to the interchangable parts sticky post. Definately would help new users. Again, thanks and i'll keep you updated.

My front sprocket was listed as for a ZX-6R (don't remember the year) on my invoice from sumofallparts.net and the rear for an 00-02 GSX-R600, so you should be good there.

Good stuff, my sprocket that I ordered won't show up until thursday according to the shipping info. So I pulled off the sprocket just now and in the morning (I work graveyard, bleh) i'm going to head over to the dealer and make sure they match up. Really need to get everything up before next sunday. Have a four day weekend. =D

Hear hear for four day weekends! hear hear for graveyard shifts! im actually working now, and get out at about 7 am, yay! Rustbucket, wanted to ask about ur chain conversion, did you have any trouble fitting the front sprocket on ur bike? mine seemed just a little bit off, but was able to get it fitted on and aligned with a little ingenuity.
