Considering LSL bar conversion....

Hi,

Im considering buying the LSL bar conversion as the S4`s clip-ons are really killing my wrists for my type of rideing.
Have many people used the LSL conversion?

If so what bars could you recommend?
Seems theres alot of choice, Im mainly looking for something sporty though, as long as its comfortable.

Thanks all.

I slipped the fork tubes up through the triple clamp 3/4" and used a small nylon 3/4" bushing from the hardware store around the hold down scew. Works great looks great and feels great. This way you keep the sport bike clip onlook and take a load off your wrists.

Did you notice any difference in the front end feel after doing that? Typically doing something like that would ultimately increase the head angle and cause the bike to handle sharper in the front or even become twitchy and more prone to head shake. 3/4 seems like a heck of alot. In the motocross world we would probably go 10mm maximum either way (up/down) to relax or sharpen the steering.

LSL bar risers

Hi

I did the LSL bar riser conversion last September - no regrets. I was going to sell the TT because of the discomfort riding around town, but now it's much better on the wrists.

See my post from some while ago.........copied below:

"I have the LSL kit with Renthal "superbike-low" bars. I had to cut a tapered bit from each side of the upper fairing to get full lock - approx 1-1.5" at top of fairing, tapering to zero at about 4"down the fairing. Also had to chop a bit off the top edges of the double-bubble screen. Plan is to wet 'n' dry the fairing edges and use touch-up paint to finish the job........

You might not have to cut anything off your fairing if you went with flat bars - but then again..........

Suffered from same problems on my S4, the LSL conversion was worth every penny. I used the standard LSL superbike bars advertised on the Jack Lilley website and am very happy with them.

I Am In The Process Of Putting A Lsl Handlebar Kit On My Speed Four.
The Kit Works Great And Comes With New Brake Line And Instructions For Running The Wiring So Everything Will Reach.
The Only Problem With My Application Was The Clutch Cable.
According To The Instructions, I Needed A New Cable Because My Bike Was A Later '06 Build. I Called To Confirm The Cable Number As When I Ordered It From Triumph, It Could Not Be Returned Even If It Did Not Fit Because I Supplied The Part Number. The New Cable Arrived Today And Guess What! That Is Correct, It Did Not Fit.
Soooo, I Am In The Process Of Trying To Figure What Cable I Need.
As Far As The Handle Bars. I Love The Position On The Bike.
I Will Supply The Cable Number When I Figure Out What Is Needed.
Sorry For The Long Post!
