Well not a good day today

My partner Rena and I thought wow wot a nice day for a ride so we got the S3 and S4 out and decided to go for a ride into town 27Km, Coming thru quite heavy traffic ( For NZ ) at about 50Kph Rena was behind a van not being able to see wots going on in front. Me being off to the side and able to see all the cars in front braking Rena behind a van and still gassing on, Get the picture. Yip by the time the van brakes boooom!!!! S4 lying on a very sorry angle face down, and a very shaken Rena. All Ok tho, Broken Flyscreen And Feked front mudguard,but other than that not a mark on the bike. Jesus I can't tell you how it feels to see an accident in progress and not being able to do a thing about it, especially a loved one. Just makes you stop and think for a while how vulnerable we all are out there!!!!

Sorry this happened, hope she'll be OK. Did the protective gear do its job?

Scary situation. Bikes can be replaced. Loved ones cannot. Glad everyone is OK.

i remember about 2 years ago a friend of mine was following me to my house. I was in the M5 and he was right behind me coming up on a light that just turned green. For some reason traffic didn't move and I had to stop fairly quickly. Unfortunately my friend didn't notice and was too late at braking. He layed it down right into the back of my car. The car had a nic, the bikes plastics got mangled (and insurance totaled it) , and my friend only had some scrapes/bruises. It was one of the scarier moments of my life though hearing him collide into my car. I ran out and made sure he was ok. It was worth a laugh in the end though because he had his golf clubs strapped to his back and a few fell out in the collision..

Glad to hear Rena was ok though

and here i've been taking my truck to the golf course all this time, riding with clubs on my back just didn't seem like a wise choice, maybe they helped protect your friend during the collision!
