I have a PCIII USB that I'm finally getting around to installing. Previously, I had the dealer install the CA map and bump the CO by a couple of points. I'm wondering if I should return the factory settings before installing the Power Commander, or if the map and/or CO value would be beneficial. Thanks!

(yeah, I know a TuneBoy is better, but I got an offer I couldn't refuse for the PowerComander)

I have the PCIII, the important thing is that once the PCIII is set up that you dont let triumph change the map in the bike as that is what the PCIII uses as its base map!! If triumph do change the map say bye bye to your £125 rolling road setup!! Gaps.

I guess I'll be having them remap the ECU with the stock map then...

No, no, no! The PC just CHANGES the input from the ECU map. So, if you install a PC with a standard map on a standard ECU, your bike will be the same as standard. However if you install a PC on an ECU with a dealer map, you will be running a dealer map.

That was my understanding. I'll be downloading a map they have on the PC site and customizing it from there.

I figured that because the PC modifies what the ECU puts out, I should make sure the ECU is putting out what the PC expects. Shame I don't have a TuneBoy, but this was a killer deal...

I think you'd be better off to start with the zero map, because you afterall already have the dealer map in your ECU. Afterall, the downloadable map is meant for standard ECU. And having said that, the downloadable map was miles off, at least for me

The best fuel map is the one that needs less correction.

Ah geez - this is getting way too complicated. I just want to bring my throttle control back in line after installing K&N and bolt-on exhaust...

Yes. And as he _already_ has a dealer map in his ECU, I'd guess his bike needs less than average correction from PC3USB. That's why I'm guessing that zero map would be better than downloadable map
