Hey guys,
Its time to get the OE BT010 changed (mostly 'cos rear now starting to flatten across the centre and looking pretty 'chewy' for want of a better description), but 3.5k on the bike so not toooooo bad.
Have found good advice (thanks Will) for rear wheel removal, but could anyone help with instructions for getting the front wheel off? Not worried about supporting the forks as have an Abba stand and am pretty confident I can 'fashion' something to support the front.

Fancy having a go at doing this myself so I can jus take wheels to the tyre shop. Good experience and a saving of £40 ($80ish)!!!

cheers all (Hope all the Brits out there are enjoying the 1st day of our 2 day summer) :-D

I have a related question. I want to make my wheel changes quicker. is there a way to take out the speedo senser and maby make captive spacers? its a track bike so I dont use the spedometer and it just adds dificulty.

It shouldn't be too difficult. I thought about it, but never got around to it. If you take a piece of tube the right diameter and thickness, it should work.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

If you eliminate the speedo and want some reference you can use a cycling computer (as in bicycles) - attach one of the little magnets to each wheel and you'll be good to go. They also generally record max, avg, riding time, etc. They even make GPS ones that let you upload your route. In your case you could use that to look at corner speeds throughout the day and such.
