Hi guys,
Just picked up a TT600 for an unbelievable price!

She was laid down about a year ago in some gravel and has been sitting in the previous owner's garage untouched since the wreck. The guy is a friend of mine and I asked him whatever happened with the bike. He said "Not a thing."
I asked if he would like to sell it and he replied, "Sure, gimme $300. I even have all the parts to fix it."

Sure enough... all the plastic and parts to repair the bike are there. Over the next few weeks I will get her back together.

I just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks in advance
for all your help! I'm sure I will be asking some questions during the process.

Wow... So it seems your friend just basically wrote it off. $300 wont buy you the front wheel, but wow you got a whole bike!.. well, most of one anyway. :-D

It should buff right out! The frame that is... the marks
on the frame are paint only. No scratches.

Ok, so here's my first question. What are framesliders?

Yeah, thanks to my recent incident and the looks of your new project, I'm going to invest in a pair myself.

Looks like a good deal still. I always thought the TT600's were one of the neater looking (newer) Triumphs!

Framesliders bolt to the engine mounts and stick out far enough to (sort of) prevent damage in a crash.

You might consider a set for the rocketship you've got next to the TT as well! :razz:
