Hello all! I recently installed a D&D exhaust can on my stock S4. Observations: the new can is smaller, shorter, and lighter than the original. Oh, and the sound ... WOW ... I love it ... very loud/throaty indeed!!! And the womp-womp-womp at idle is now more of a WOMP-WOMP-WOMP. Don't have a performance opinion, as I really haven't tested that yet. My question is: do I have anything to worry about in terms of it running rich/lean??? Excuse my ignorance! I'm running the stock tune and the bike definately runs "different" with the new pipe. I like the way its running, just worried about harming the engine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

You won't hurt the engine. Low throttle inputs will probably be more abrupt (particularly on-off throttle transitions). To fix that, you can take spend money by getting a PowerComander/TuneBoy, or not, by bringing the bike into the dealer and asking them to load the California fuel map (#10164) and bump the CO value by a couple of points. If you go to the dealer, they'll look at you like you're crazy, but those changes work pretty well.

If you plan to get a K&N in the future, a TuneBoy is worth every penny.
