Does anyone know where I might be able to pick up a set of frame sliders for a 2000 TT 600?

There's a good bit of information here.

You'll need to drill your fairing to do it. To my knowledge, there isn't a brand available for the TT600 that doesn't require fairing modification.

:gpst: :upthumb: John is a stand-up guy and supported me when I was racing my TT in WERA and CCS. He's a fellow Triumph rider and the parts he makes are good quality stuff.

I have "tested" the skykings for the TT600 and they work well.

Haha! How did the bike ride after the "test"? A buddy of mine laid his CBR down recently, and it seems his crash bungs just bent his frame it has a a pretty good pull to the left now. i mean the sliders are great it they save the body, but what good if it thrashes the structure?

That's the biggest difference (from what I've heard, IMHO, not valid in all states) between the alloy sliders like the LSL's and the delrin ones like the skykings. The alloy ones dig in and bend when they hit, where the delrin ones slide. That said, I don't know what would happen if either were to encounter a curb or other immoveable object...

FWIW I lowsided my bike last year on Skykings. The bike slid on pavement for about 20ft, and then went into the dirt on the side of the road and dug a hole for itself. The slider was worn down and everything was full of dirt, but nothing was bent or damaged. I bought a new slider from Skyking (they'll sell you just one, which rocks) and it bolted right up, no hassles.

Rustbucket,
if i remember right, on my friend's bike, the sliders bolted straight to the frame on one side, then the otherside had an arm like extension that the bung bolted to. and that arm would bend slightly to help absorb shock, but the other side was bolted straight to the engine mounting part of the frame, and that was the side that went down. guess that could also been a big factor.

Its good to hear of your experience tho, glad u and the bike were ok. i was actually going to wait until i made my bike strictly track before i put on sliders, so i could drill on some track fairings . Really i just don't wanna mess up my pretty blue fairings. i know it can be done cleanly and keep the fairings aesthetics, but then again i am also lazy :-D . well now i will have to rethink all this for a near future modification :upthumb:
cuz i just know that roads out to get me...
