well, I have had a wallet burning a hole in my pocket for just too long. I held out for the street triple but I have come to the decition (at least this week) that I'm at a stage of my life where if im ever going to own an all out sports bike... its now. I happened to be bying some gloves at a hoda dealership and ended up chatting to a guy there and he convinced me to try some bikes. he asked me if i would ride the 1000 Fireblade and I flat out said no. Its got 180bhp thats almost 1000 more than the S4. But I rode the 600rr and I have to admit it wasnt as quick as I thought it would be, so I did take the fireblade out... I dont remember the last time I was laughing so loud while riding. It was the most fun I've had since I dont know when. It blew away all expectations i had about all out sports bikes. SO.. I'm trying to convince the neighbour to let me rent his garage and I think I'm going to be buying "one of those jap bikes"
But fear not, the S4 isnt going anywhere, its just too good a bike for what I need around town and seeing as the arse has fallen out of its value, its worth far more to me as a bike i'll run into the ground.
the d675 is just too tiny a bike, even honda have realised that for a bike to sell well in europe its got to suit our riders, (bigger 6ft2)
I think triumph need to update its litre sportsbike, especially now after the great success of the d675
anyway just babbling
:hammer: its just so hard to pick and choose when you're not constricted but just what you can afford

I can't ride kilobikes. It takes some kind of superhuman mind to be able to control the right hand... I hope you can

guess the 1000 felt like a sofa after the 600rr. now that was seriously uncomfortable...
I'm no superhuman, and I know I'll never fully grasp the bikes potential, but I had the biggest smile on my face when that rear wheel was slipping around and squelling down the road, even now I get excited remembering it.
Fury have you ridden the ninja? originally that was going to be my choice, I plan to ride as many bikes as I can before making my choice

only complaint was it wobbles a bit at high speeds, needs a steering damper baddddddd!
edit: im sure thats why they added the ohlins to the 06s

I OWNED a '04 ZX-10R. It was great. But I can't ride a bike like that on the road. *****, the performance was just something else. And man it's a raw machine. Bites your head off if you let your guard down
EDIT: Oh yeah, I think it was a pretty irresponsible move of Kawasaki not to equip it with a steering damper as standard. It was a handful even with one.

if your going jap get the kawi. I owned a ZX9R and that thing was an animal. Dyno'd at about 130 whp which is roughly 145-150 bhp on a bike thats about the size of most 600's. It was the torque that was amazing though, at 5k rpm's it felt like a 600 at 10k. Thats what I loved about it, made flying around town easy without having to rev the bike out. Try the new ZX10R, for some reason it always seems like Kawasaki pushes their motors just a bit more than the other jap bikes. Or if you like being naked the Z1000 is awesome:

Wow I hope you don't take offense (and that it's not your bike), but someone took the Z-1000, a darn sharp looking bike IMHO (kind of literally, styling wise!), and made it... not. The whole point of a naked bike is that it has less plastics. Why add to a bike when the whole point of the thing is simplicity?
Just my personal opinion...

I just quickly googled the image, but I would agree with you, the kawi factory picture was too big and would've enlarged our page, but factory looks like..

Yeah that's better. It's the Kawasaki equivalent to the pixie hat that pushed it over the edge for me. :hammer:
