Ok be as smug as you like! I have just purchased a 2003 TT600. I have been away a week & the battery is absolutely flat. How do you get the seat up & the battery off to recharge? It may be obvious to you but it isn't to me

See the key hole in the left side rear fairing? That opens the seat. The battery is secured with a rubber starp (if it's not broken yet). Undo the wiring and remove the strap and the battery comes off

Thanks Pete, I didn't think it would be so easy! It came out in seconds & is now charging up.
Cheers

once i was with a group of people at a dinner party and someone had just bought an old corvette but amazingly couldn't find the battery. I happened to work as a Cheverolet lot-boy as back in the 70's and had learned it was under the driver's seat, as one of my detailing jobs was fully charging the batteries on sold vehicles. The crowd admired my "technical knowledge".

so a long winded way of saying there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.

To make things even easier, pick up a battery tender. THen you just have to have a wall plug and the plug on the battery.

An added bonus that I discovered for the Battery Tender is that the cable it comes with that you attach to your battery is a fused industry standard SAE connection. I used it with an adapter on a recent road trip to charge my cell phone .
