I ordered a K&N OIl Filter while shoppin on british-customs site....... and today had to go into the local Triumpg store to pick up some crush washers......they said that the K&N oil filter is a good way to possibly ruin the engine due to a check valve issue. They said to always run stock Triumph filters (liitle did I know they were the same ***** price), even in their 675 race bike they use stock filters. So I picked up a couple since they were in stock. Is this BS or what???? Thanks :???:

my friends parents own the dealership in town.

he runs a K&N filter on his 675 he races in AMA FX.

theyve never mentioned a problem with running a k&n oil fiter.

I've been running K&N's for 3 or 4 years on my RS, and for over a year on the D650. Others have used them as well with no problems. Also, you can go to any auto parts store and pick up a pack of 14mm crush washers for cheaper than your local MC shop.

Should also be able to use Purolator Pure_one #14610 (longer) or #14612 (standard) oil filters. I think.......

When I get to a place that has 'em, I use Purolator filters. Otherwise, I use K&Ns because that is what the local motorcycle shop carries that also fits.

Absolutely...the Pure One 14610 is arguably the best for the buck, of any oil filter. I get 'em at Advance Auto for approx. $6 each.
