i am thinking about having the '04 codes dropped into my '02 S4. anyone done this yet? pros-cons, i am trying to get it to start a little better under cold conditions. seems like until it is warmed up it is just getting too much fuel

Do you know the part number for the later tune codes? It may actually be the same codes. Make sure you don't put codes for a bike with secondary air injection into a bike that doesn't have that. It will run badly if you do. The dealer who services your bike should be able to tell you which codes are in the bike and whether the S4 has had any updates.

Where in Washington state are you?

mechanic at dealership in olympia said my bike has the 02' mapping and that the latest update would help it with cold starts. he says that it gives it less fuel during start and initial warm-up. i am south of Tacoma in Lakewood. i was going to ride this past 2nd Saturday, probably one of the last nice days we'll have, but i am a Ranger on Ft Lewis and i had to work, you know how that goes....
