mechanic at dealership in olympia said my bike has the 02' mapping and that the latest update would help it with cold starts. he says that it gives it less fuel during start and initial warm-up. i am south of Tacoma in Lakewood. i was going to ride this past 2nd Saturday, probably one of the last nice days we'll have, but i am a Ranger on Ft Lewis and i had to work, you know how that goes....

The dealer in Olympia has a good reputation. If they think putting a different tune in the bike is a good idea, then it probably is. Triumph didn't make as many changes on the S4 over the years as they did on the TT600. For what its worth, my 2001 TT600 has the 2003 tune codes in it and is running fine.

I will be going past Ft. Lewis for the fourth time this week this evening. If you see a yellow TT600 with a mountain of stuff on the back, that is me.
