One of our TT600 was lowered but the side stand is stock length, so when stopped and on the side-stand, the bike is too upright. Sometimes it seems ready to fall over.

Has anyone seen or found a shorter-than stock side-stand?

Looks like 1 and a quarter inches shorter would do it, but that's just an estimate. If nothing is out there, we've thought of cutting and welding, but that's a one-shot-get-it right cause you're stuck with it deal, so we're checking here first.

I'd say cut the "foot" off and shorten it in 1/2" increments until you get the height correct and then weld the "foot" back on. Better to have it a little too long than way too short... that's what she said anyway!

That piece isn't cast Al is it? Cast welds about as good as wood.

nope should be black steel... I would think that cast aluminum wouldnt be capable of withstanding any accidental drive offs. ( i have a very bad habit) nor do i think would it be able to support a 450 lb bike all day every day
