People don't understand what they are, they have a bad reputation left over from the initial fueling problems in 2000, and supersport bike prices go in the tank as soon as the next generation comes out. It is a supply and demand problem, too. There may not be too many TT600 and S4s, but only the people who own them have any idea how good they are, so nobody much wants to buy one.

I sold a 2000 TT600 with about 19K miles on it for $3000 a bit over a year ago. The guy who bought it picked it up with another guy who was a Ducati Monster rider. The Ducati rider took it out for a test ride and came back with eyes like saucers since he didn't expect what the bike could do.

I bought mine about 3 months ago here in Phoenix, AZ for $4500. Its a 2002 TT and it had 5k miles on it. No scratches at all, perfect condition!! I love having a bike that is an all around great bike....especially for beginners. And no one has these, so it does get lots of attention and it always strikes up a conversation. I say its great for buyers, crappy if you are trying to sell. Good luck either way! -Spin

whats nice about these bikes is when the police pull you over then find out its a triumph they tend to waste 20 minutes of your time talking to you about your bike and complimenting you on it ... they then tell you to slow down and then let you go about your way... happened to me twice now in 4 month. and this probably only applies to the California Highway Patrol (they ride BMW)

but I paid 3200 for mine with 14K on the clock and current on its maintenance (he got the 16k done for me)... the 16k service retails for 900 at the local triumph dealership (rocket San Diego)
